Jr High eLearning Day

Hello, Hawk families; 

We would like to remind you that junior high students will be having an eLearning day on Thursday, April 17^th.  7^th and 8^th grade students will remain at home and will log into classes using their Chromebooks. We are sharing this with you now in case you need to borrow a hotspot to ensure your child has Wifi access. Please call the OJSHS office if you are in need of a hotspot (815)732-5300. The reason we are doing a junior high eLearning day is due to high school students standardized assessments. We cannot have bells or any disruptions for the high school students testing that day.  

Students must log into class to be marked as present. The schedule for junior high students on April 17^th is as follows: 

Homeroom check-in (Hawk Huddle teacher) 8:05-8:15 

1^st Hour 8:20-8:50 

2^nd Hour 8:55-9:25 

3^rd Hour 9:30-10:00 

4^th Hour 10:05-10:35 

5^th Hour 10:40-11:10 

Lunch 11:15-11:45 

6^th Hour 11:50-12:20 

7^th Hour 12:25-1:00 (End of school day) 

Students will check in with teachers at the beginning of every class period. Teachers provide instructions for  completing daily work.  If a teacher is going to be absent, they will communicate that to students in advance and provide asynchronous work. Failure to complete the asynchronous assignments will be considered an absence for that class period.
